God and His Attributes

1. God is a Person

God possesses independent, non-contingent life (Ex. 3:14; 1 Tim. 6:15-16; Heb. 11:6).
God is an immaterial Spirit (Jn. 1:18; Acts 17:24; 1 Tim. 1:17, 6:15-16).
God has a name (Ex. 3:14, 20:7; Is. 42:8)

2. God is Infinite

He is everlasting and timeless (Ps. 90:1-2; Jude 25)
He is constant (Ps. 102:26-27; Mal. 3:6; Jam. 1:17).
He is omnipresent (Ps. 139:7-10; Acts. 17:24-25; Mt. 28:19-20)
He is omniscient (Ps. 147:5; Prov. 15:3; Mt. 10:29; Heb. 4:13)
He is omnipotent (Jb. 42:2; Dn. 4:35; Lk. 1:37)

3. God is Holy

He is majestic and unique, the only one in His category (Ex. 15:11; Isa. 6:1-5).
He is absolutely pure, completely untainted by sin (Job 34:12; Hab. 1:13; James 1:13).
God is righteous or just (Deut. 32:4; Jer. 9:24).
